The annual sports meet for the year 2023 was held in grand splendour after a hiatus of nearly two years. With the flags held high and the sound of cheers among the enthusiastic students, the school made sure that this was a year to never forget. This is where the kids show off their athletic prowess in a setting of friendly competition. Here, exceptional abilities are recognised for potential growth. They have the opportunity to participate in and score points for the home team in team events created for the less agile.
The sports meet was held at the S.D.S. Jayasinghe Grounds and was initiated with the usual proceedings, and then began the sports events such as athletics, mini games, and many more. The meet also featured a colourful drill display and a march past.
After a successful agenda, Garnet House took the championship trophy home, while Jade House came in as the runner-up for the event. The sports meet finally concluded with happy hearts and brought the majority of the school together to celebrate the true sporting spirit.
